Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has named Jill Offman, currently managing director for its Comedy Central UK brand, to the same position for MTV UK.

In the cross-brand role, Offman will lead programming teams for both brands and be responsible for original commissions and acquisitions. With VIMN also owning Channel 5 in the UK, Offman will also work with that broadcaster’s director of programs, Ben Frow, to increase the amount of content that can be shared between Channel 5 and either MTV UK or Comedy Central UK.

Channel 5 and Comedy Central UK are co-funding a British version of the American series Impractical Jokers , which airs in the U.S. on truTV.

Offman will also have management oversight of the MTV and Comedy Central brands in more than 30 countries that comprise part of VIMN’s pan-regional operations managed out of the UK. She will report to VIMN UK chief operating officer, James Currell. She is taking over management responsibility for the MTV brands handled out of the UK from Kerry Taylor, who has been promoted to chief marketing officer for VIMN UK.
