Beyond Distribution has picked up the worldwide distribution rights to the crime format Natural Born Outlaws.

The 10-part series from CMJ Productions II illustrates the rise and fall of infamous American outlaws such as John Dillinger (pictured), Bonnie and Clyde, and Al Capone through re-enactments and interviews delivered with the real-life detectives responsible for each bandit’s capture.

Commissioned by Discovery Communications’ American Heroes Channel, the series is currently in production and will launch for the international market at MIPCOM in October.

“Crime has universal appeal and this series follows some of the most infamous lawbreakers in history,” said Caitlin Meek-O’Connor, head of acquisitions for Beyond Distribution, in a statement.

Beyond Distribution, with offices in London, Sydney and Dublin, currently carries a raft of CMJ Productions programs including The Will: Family Secrets Revealed, A Stranger In My Home and Fatal Vows (pictured).
