Zig Zag’s Wyles moves to Barcroft

Peter Wyles, most recently head of development for UK-headquartered Zig Zag Productions, is heading to Barcroft Productions as its director of programs.

Peter Wyles, most recently head of development for UK-headquartered Zig Zag Productions, is heading to Barcroft Productions as its director of programs.

Wyles has also held posts at Endemol UK, RDF Media and September Films, where he created and exec produced the CBBC series Richard Hammond’s Blast Lab. Other credits include Channel 4′s The Big Breakfast, ITV1′s Trouble in Paradise and BBC2′s Alan Whicker’s Journey of a Lifetime.

Wyles has also worked on the other side of the production-buyer fence, with experience as a commissioning editor at Channel 5. He has also worked in print journalism.

“His journalistic background and fantastic television production heritage will help us deliver bigger and better, must-watch shows,” said Sam Barcroft, CEO of Barcroft Productions, in a statement.
