MTV sets sail for “Ibiza Shore”

MTV International is going to Ibiza in the latest – and most international – addition to the company’s ‘Shores’ franchise.

The Magnolia TV-produced Ibiza Shore – which marks the first-ever copro between MTV Latin America and MTV South Europe – is to include former cast members from Spain’s Gandía Shore and Mexico’s Acapulco Shore, as well as more party-ready arrivals from Italy and Brazil.

Production on the series is to begin on the Mediterranean island in August.

Ibiza Shore is the fifth international edition of MTV’s ‘Shores’ franchise, which kicked off in 2009 with the original U.S. version, Jersey Shore (pictured), and now includes the UK’s Geordie Shore, Poland’s Warsaw Shore, Spain’s Gandía Shore and Mexico’s Acapulco Shore.
