Norwegian broadcaster TV2 has secured 100 hours of property titles from London and Sydney-based Beyond Distribution.

The deal sees TV2 Norway adding 26 episodes of the original series Love It or List It (pictured) to its existing collection – which currently airs on the channel – and also acquiring both seasons of Love it or List it Vancouver and the 6 x 60-minute Love It or List It UK.

The Love It or List It format sees two hosts – one realtor and one home designer – competing against one another to convince divided homeowners to either remain in their newly redesigned home or relocate to a different house scouted by the real estate agent.

Both Love It or List It and Love It or List It Vancouver are produced by Big Coat Productions for W Network Canada. The British version of the franchise, meanwhile, is produced by Raise The Roof Productions for Channel 4. The format, which will launch at October’s MIPCOM market in Cannes, has already been confirmed for a second season.

Rounding out the deal – which was negotiated by Beyond’s VP for Scandinavia Sam Partner -  is the Great Pacific Media-produced home renovation competition series Game of Homes, which was also recently green-lit for a second season on W Network Canada.

“We are delighted to be working with TV2 Norway, who have provided the perfect partner for our property shows,” said Partner in a statement. “Property shows have become a real strength of Beyond’s, with the combination of the quality of our shows and increasing volume bolstering their appeal to broadcasters.”

Marius Thams Michelsen, an acquisition executive at TV2 Norway, added: “We are very satisfied with the property shows from Beyond and the quality they deliver to us. The flexibility that Beyond showed us, with starting off with a few seasons then adding on more seasons as the show delivered viewers, was important.”
