Global producer-distributor Endemol Shine Group has unveiled the unscripted team for its Australian arm under the leadership of Mark Fennessy (pictured, right) and Carl Fennessy (left).

The company – which sees the merger of Shine Australia and Endemol Australia – will be led by the co-CEOs, who in May decided to retract their April resignation plans and manage the merged company. Endemol Shine Australia will be based in McMahons Point in Sydney, beginning in October.

Endemol Shine Australia’s unscripted content team will be led by MD Peter Newman, who has been promoted from his current Shine Australia role as director of programming, where he has overseen formats such as MasterChef, The Bachelor, GoggleboxThe Biggest Loser and Australia’s Next Top Model.

Newman will also oversee executive producer Margaret Bashfield, who has been promoted to supervising executive producer for unscripted content.

Elsewhere, Sarah Horn has been named MD of production and operations, while Chris Fry has been upped from finance and business development director at Shine to chief financial offer. Other appointments include that of Scott Howard, who has been named commercial director, while Elliot Spencer will be director of development and creative services and Leanne McDonnell is to serve as head of human resources.
