Copenhagen- and New York-based distributor LevelK is looking to extend its reach into the Asian market with the launch of a Hong Kong office next month.

The Hong Kong branch will be headed by sales manager Derek Luí, UA Cinemas and Lark Films Distribution exec who formerly oversaw Cinehub’s film acquisitions and distribution via UA Cinemas and Lark Films Distribution.

Founded in 2009, LevelK drives the “international sales and distribution for film and TV prodcos while acting as a digital partner for distribution in their home country,” according to its website. The company has previously handled the distribution of such doc titles as Drone (pictured), Sepideh, Motley’s Law, The Last Ocean, Moonrider and Searching for Bill.

“The Hong Kong office is a reflection of LevelK’s growth and a continues commitment to optimize our cooperation with current and future business partners,” said CEO Tine Klint in a statement.
