NBCSN shifts gears with “Mobsteel”

U.S. net NBCSN is readying an August 16 premiere for vintage auto restoration series Mobsteel (pictured).

Produced by San Francisco-based Hoff Productions, the eight-episode reality series follows the restoration efforts of Mobsteel, a Detroit-based custom car shop, as its team refurbishes and repairs vintage vehicles from the American automotive boom into modern day head-turners. The program will focus on Mobsteel shop owners Adam and Pam Genei, Steve “Steve-O” Ryan, Doug “Whitebread” Hanes and Ron Coan.

The series adds to the prodco’s stable of automotive programs that also includes National Geographic Channel’s Ultimate Factories, Speed Network’s Speedmakers and Velocity’s Car-nivore.

Michael Hoff, Melanie Chilek, Alex Hoff and Adam Moyer serve as executive producers for Hoff Productions.

Mobsteel is to bow on August 16 at 6 p.m. EST/PST across NBCSN with further episodes airing on Wednesday’s at 10 p.m. EST/PST.
