The Weinstein Company (TWC) has bolstered its executive ranks with the upping of Patrick Reardon (pictured) from senior VP to executive VP of its television department, focusing on unscripted programming.

Effective immediately, the promotion gives Reardon oversight of unscripted operations, and the exec will be charged with expanding TWC’s fashion-focused reality slate to include such genres as talk, comedy, true crime and game show formats.

In the past five months, Reardon has incorporated five unscripted projects into the company’s stable with sales to Viacom’s MTV and Spike networks as well as NBC. He plans to extend TWC’s reach into the unscripted world through new partnerships with TruTV, AMC, GSN and Reelz, the company said in a statement.

In addition, Reardon – working alongside VP of television Barbara Schneeweiss - is overseeing the previously announced Project Runway spin-off, Project Runway Jr., which will be hosted by fashion consultant Tim Gunn and model Hannah Davis.

The Weinstein Company’s unscripted roster includes Lifetime’s Million Dollar Shoppers, VH1′s Mob Wives and A&E’s Rodeo Girls.
