ICM Partners ups Michael Kagan to int’l TV head

U.S.- and UK-based agency ICM Partners has upped Michael Kagan (pictured) to head of international television and media.

The role will see Kagan – who was made a partner in 2013 – leading ICM’s operations in unscripted and worldwide TV, while overseeing reality and scripted packaging, format adaptations and new media projects.

The promotion will see Kagan heading the department of about 20 agents and execs across LA, New York and London. It comes just a week after founder and senior VP Greg Lipstone was named CEO of All3Media America, which is a client of ICM Partners.

Kagan has been with the agency since 2003, working his way from the mailroom to agent in international television and media, and ultimately partner in 2013. He currently represents a number of prodcos, including Nick Cannon‘s Ncredible Entertainment, Ellen DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production, Ken Mok’s 10×10 Entertainment and All3Media America.

The exec is also charged with managing the careers of broadcast and cable showrunners, as well as on-air talent.

“Michael was identified early in his career as a future leader of the agency,” the board of ICM Partners said in a joint statement. “His passion for his clients and for television is infectious and his demonstrated commitment to growing this area of our business makes him the ideal candidate to lead our international television and media department.”
