U.S. net Outside Television is tracking the nine-day North American expedition race Primal Quest for a fall program.

The 14-year-old endurance event finds adventurers in 18 teams of four crossing the Sierra Nevada mountain range as they trail run, mountain bike, paddle, climb and rappel over more than 450 miles, nonstop. This year’s race kicks off in Tahoe, California today (August 20) and continues untilĀ August 28.

Outside Television – a branded extension of the titular American adventure magazine – is currently in production on the program, which will be broadcast this October. An exact premiere date has yet to be announced.
