U.S. net WE tv has greenlit Ex Isle, a reality series aimed at helping ex-lovers reconcile and form new relationships.

Produced by the SallyAnn Salsano-helmed 495 Productions, the 10 x 60-minute series will bring together the recently uncoupled who are struggling to overcome their relationship’s demise and help them form new, healthy connections. Salsano – who previously produced MTV’s Jersey Shore - also created the series.

Hosted by TV personality Carmen Electra (pictured), the five former couples are put through a number of exercises led by Dr. Ish Major – a psychiatrist specializing in women, children and families, and an expert on broken relationships – to assist each individual with moving on from the past. The five separated couples will then get the chance to explore new love when they’re joined by 10 singles.

SallyAnn Salsano, Joel Zimmer and Pam LaLima serve as executive producers for 495 Productions, while Lauren Gellert, Angela Molloy and Mark Powell are listed as executive producers for WE tv.

Ex Isle is currently in production in the Dominican Republic and is slated to join the network’s stable in 2016.

“This is probably one of the most relatable shows I have been a part of,” said Salsano in a statement.  “We all have exes and have been these people. You feel their pain and heartbreak like it’s your own; you root for them as they heal and find new love.”
