Canada’s OMNI Television has revealed scheduling details for its fall lineup, which will include seven original lifestyle series as well as a Chinese version of Supernanny.
Newly acquired programming on the OMNI lineup includes Supernanny China as well as Planet’s Got Talent. The Chinese version of Supernanny finds Lan Hai, a “modern-day Mary Poppins” taking on poorly behaved children in China. Meanwhile, Planet’s Got Talent highlights acts from Indonesia, Iceland and Brazil, among other countries.
Elsewhere, OMNI will also be the home of original lifestyle series, including L’Arte Di Cucinare, an Italian cooking show hosted by chef Gianni Cescia; as well as Nos Portuguese, which covers topics related to the Portuguese-Canadian community.
Other original series are Kama Sutra, which answers questions about intimate matters in Hindi and Urdu; Kitty Talk, a weekly women’s South Asian talk show; Afro-X, which celebrates African-Canadian culture featuring segments on fashion, food and lifestyle; and Parwaaz, which focuses on the Punjabi community in Alberta.
Finally, the second season of OMNI’s original talent competition series Bollywood Star, produced by Makan Media, will premiere on September 5 on OMNI 2, OMNI B.C. and OMNI Alberta.
