London-based coproduction and financing firm Drive has hired Andrew Baker as a non-executive director.

Formerly head of business affairs for Granada Television and ITV, he will work in a strategic and advisory capacity with Drive’s joint MDs Ben Barrett and Lilla Hurst to help the company expand its business in the UK and internationally.

Baker is also the founder of business affairs and commercial advisory firm Rights TV, which he sold to Compact Media in 2011.

Barrett and Hurst founded Drive in April 2013 to facilitate the production funding process through source financing as well as consultancy services.
