Israel’s Gil Formats is heading to MIPCOM for the first time, to shop its fact-ent format, Life on Duty.

The format, which has commissioned by Channel 10 on Israel for a 12-episode run in the winter of 2016, follows members of emergency service teams – police, fire and hospital trauma – as they negotiate the challenges of their stressful jobs as well as their home lives.

“By marrying the storytelling conventions of popular drama with the surprise and energy of true life formats, we get a compelling sense of what some of these people’s lives are really like,” said Assaf Gil, CEO of Gil Formats, in a statement.

Gil Formats is the format creation and distribution arm for Israeli prodco Gil Productions.

MIPCOM takes place in Cannes from October 5-8.
