Israeli producer-distributor Armoza Formats is seeing double in a new studio-based game show that has secured its first deal with Germany’s Tresor TV Produktions.

Double or Nothing – which Armoza developed in partnership with Studio Glam – sees a pair of contestants take on a series of challenges together in order to win prize money.

One member of each team picks an opponent, who must first undertake the challenge. Following this, the couple must decide if they can not only carry out the challenge better than the opponent, but twice as well. If the couple loses, they lose the prize money, but if they win, their earnings are doubled.

The game show marks the first co-development partnership between Armoza Formats and Studio Glam. Double or Nothing will be launched at next month’s MIPCOM market in Cannes, where Armoza will also celebrate its 10th anniversary.

“The gameplay of couples challenged by single competitors is unique and catching and as the games are easily adaptable and scalable, the show can be adjusted to different broadcasters’ needs,” said Axel Kuehn, MD of Tresor TV, in a statement.
