44 Blue teams with Archie Gips for first-look deal

The prodco behind Wahlburgers (pictured) and Donnie Loves Jenny has entered into a first-look deal with exec producer and showrunner Archie Gips, who will develop unscripted formats for the company under his Glad I Thought of It Productions shingle.

44 Blue Productions, the prodco behind Wahlburgers and Nightwatch has entered into a first-look deal with exec producer and showrunner Archie Gips, who will develop unscripted formats for the company under his Glad I Thought of It Productions shingle.

Currently, Gips serves as an EP and showrunner on Wahlburgers, and was an EP on its companion show, Donnie Loves Jenny. Other credits include work on A&E’s Duck Dynasty, Bravo’s Top Chef, WE tv’s Braxton Family Values and NBC’s Last Comic Standing, among others.

“Archie has consistently produced memorable and influential formats for television that have left a mark on viewers across all demographics,” said Rasha Drachkovitch, co-founder and CEO of 44 Blue Productions, in a statement. “We look forward to collaborating with him on a new wave of programming.”
