Gabourie launches Toronto prodco Forte Entertainment

Former Pivotal Media executive producer Andrea Gabourie has opened the Toronto-based production company Forté Entertainment, specializing in factual, lifestyle, kids and branded content programming.

Producer Andrea Gabourie has launched Forté Entertainment, a Toronto-based production company that will focus on factual, lifestyle, kids and branded content programming.

Gabourie will head up the company as president and executive producer, with Big Brother Canada producer Natalie Schenk serving as head of development/producer and former eOne exec Christina Carvalho serving as head of production/producer.

Forté’s inaugural production slate includes Hello Goodbye, a Canadian adaptation of the international format that will air on CBC in winter 2016. Gabourie’s former company, Pivotal Media, is coproducing and will coproduce with Forté on a number of projects.

The company is also developing a series about the business of fashion for W Network, as well as Snapshots, an unscripted youth photography project that is airing online via Kids’ CBC. The latter project was created and produced by Gabourie and Mitch Gabourie of Headtrip Films.

Gabourie is the co-founder of Pivotal Media and spent  two years at Corus Entertainment. Her credits include Let’s Get Hitched for CBC, Life Story Project for OWN Canada and Project Runway Canada for Global and Slice. Last year, she exec produced Bryan Adams in Concert for the PBS series ‘Great Performances.’

Forté is represented in the U.S. by William Morris Endeavor.
