Endemol Beyond USA’s Smasher network has gone live, complete with a slate of new programming dedicated to the gaming and e-sports vertical, the MCN’s interim president and COO Adrian Sexton confirmed.

As of October 7, Smasher became available across more than 20 platforms, including YouTube, Roku, TiVo, DailyMotino, Amazon Fire TV, Verizon Go90, and Vessel, as well as the MCN’s own OTT platform, GetBeyond.US. The launch marks Endemol’s second effort at creating a dedicated, digital-first programming hub following the launch of the beauty and life-style focused Icon Network earlier this year.

First up on Smasher will be Legends of Gaming (pictured)an American YouTube competition series hosted by Toby Turner (aka Tobuscus, who has more than 15 million subscribers across his three YouTube channels) and based on an Endemol Beyond UK series of the same name. The UK version has earned more than 640,000 subscribers and 45 million views.

Unlike its European counterpart, which mostly features solo and one-on-one gameplay, the U.S. Legends will follow four gaming duos, coached by YouTubers and channel hosts including Fatal1tyTV, Perfect Legend, HotShotGG and Hafu.

Endemol Beyond is producing more than 100 videos of Legends of Gaming, which is sponsored by Pizza Hut, as well as Razer and iBuyPower. A total of 37 episodes will be hosted by Turner (pictured, above). The MCN will produce another 37 segments of  Legends of Gaming: Game Play, showing the complete competition; and 37 companion pieces entitled Legends of Gaming: Bloopers and Outtakes, which gives fans an inside look at the antics that were a part of each episode. Fans will also have access to cast profiles, win/fail videos and recaps. All the Legends videos will post seven days a week on YouTube, beginning Oct, 7 through to February 2016.
