MIPCOM ’15: Passion sends “Divorce Hotel” to Sweden

The London-based distributor has sold the A. Smith & Co-created format Divorce Hotel to Swedish network TV7.

London-based Passion Distribution has sold the format rights for Divorce Hotel to Sweden’s TV7.

Created by A. Smith & Co, the show follows married couples in the process of divorcing as they check into a hotel where a dedicated team of attorneys and mediators help them find a resolution. The format was previously adapted in the Netherlands, where it aired on RTL4.

Ahead of MIPCOM, the company licensed Worst Driver to TTV Poland, which began airing the first season in September. The series has aired for three seasons in the country but this is the first time the Mentorn Media-created show has aired on TTV.

Worst Driver - which is also airing in the Netherlands and in Quebec – has been produced in more than 20 territories.

Passion previously licensed Paradise Hotel to Nelonen in Finland, which is currently airing the first season. The reality competition sends 11 singles to a luxury resort where they compete for the chance to find a partner. It was also created by Mentorn Media and has been produced in more than 12 markets, including Russia, Norway and Denmark.
