In this week’s round-up, new seasons are on the way for series on Discovery Channel, Discovery en Español, Science Channel and ABC Spark.

Discovery Channel has signed on for a fourth season of Magilla Entertainment’s Moonshiners, which follows a group of “shiners” who produce the spirit Moonshine from the Appalachian mountains. The series returns on November 17 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

In other news, Discovery en Español is readying the second season premiere of automotive series Mexicanicos (pictured). The show – which debuted in March – follows the creations and restorations of Mexican mechanic Martín Vaca. The program has received a 6 x 60-minute order and will premiere on November 9 at 10 p.m. EST/PST, during the net’s ‘Lunes de motores’ auto-focused programming block. Mexicanicos is produced by Drako Media in coproduction with High Noon Entertainment.

Science Channel is bringing back Survivorman for another round on November 7 at 10 p.m. EST/PST. The Les Stroud Productions-made series will find survival expert Stroud again visiting the world’s harshest conditions to undertake survival challenges. This season will find the host accompanied by a contest winner in one episode.

Finally, ABC Spark has ordered a second season of Monica the Medium, premiering on October 27 at 8 p.m. EST/PST. The series, produced by Trooper Entertainment in association with Lionsgate TV, follows college student Monica Ten-Kate who must juggle her special skill as a medium with the rest of her school and family life. The program’s first season finale aired on October 27.
