Celebrity news franchise TMZ is expanding its brand with its latest celebrity-focused series, TMZ Sports (pictured).
Produced by Harvey Levin Productions and paraMedia in association with Telepictures, the nightly 30-minute series will air on Fox Sports 1 (FS1) and is set to feature exclusive stories and breaking news surrounding the celebrity lifestyles of prolific athletes, commentators and announcers.
The series will look to expand TMZ’s celebrity reach into the sports world. The brand famously broke stories on former NFL running back Ray Rice’s domestic violence, Donald Sterling’s tirade that led to the eventual sale of the Los Angeles Clippers, and former NBA star Lamar Odom being found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel.
Harvey Levin and Evan Rosenblum serve as executive producers.
TMZ Sports premieres November 9 at 12 a.m. EST/PST (midnight) on FS1.
“TMZ Sports offers a window into the world where sport and celebrity cultures intersect – whether at a party, movie premiere or an ordinary day,” said Jamie Horowitz, president of Fox Sports National Networks, in a statement. “To both avid and casual sports fans, these stories are captivating.”
