Global producer-distributor FremantleMedia has tapped former Endemol Shine Finland exec Anne Wahlström (pictured) as head of entertainment for its Finnish operations.

Wahlström will join FremantleMedia Finland on January 1 and is to report to Joonas Hytönen, who was recently appointed as company MD. She will sit on the operation’s management board.

Wahlström previously served as creative director of productions at Endemol Shine Finland, where she worked across the company’s local and international slate.

She previously held executive roles at Solar Television, Metronome Film & Television and Zodiak Finland. Wahlström’s production credits include The Voice, The Voice Kids, Clash of the Choirs and Strictly Come Dancing.

“Anne has fantastic experience working on high-profile local and international shows,” Daniela Matei, CEO Nordics, Eastern Europe and Balkans, said in a statement. “I have no doubt that she will be a huge support to Joonas when he takes up the role, and that her skills and creativity will add value to our existing team.”
