London-and-Berlin-based based sales agent Taskovski Films has sold the docs Ukrainian Sheriffs, Sugar Blues, Horizontes, Lampedusa in Winter (pictured) and Olmo and the Seagull during the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA).

Polish theatrical distributor Against Gravity has acquired Ukranian Sheriffs and Olmo and the Seagull while Japanese theatrical distributor T&K Telefilm has acquired all rights to Horizontes, about ballerina Alicia Alonso Cuban, and Sugar Blues, about a mother diagnosed with gestational diabetes fighting against the “worldwide sugar mafia.”

EBS Korea and Sky Arts New Zealand have also picked up Horizontes.

In Spain, distributor Elamedia has acquired theatrical rights for Lampedusa in Winter, Olmo and the Seagull and Sugar Blues. The company will roll out Lampedusa in Winter, about an Italian ‘refugee island,’ in Spanish cinemas this winter.
