BBC2 has ordered the entertainment show Insert Name Here from 12 Yard Productions and Black Dog Television.

The six-episode series will be hosted by The Great British Bake Off star Sue Perkins (pictured) and feature presenter Richard Osman and comedian Josh Widdicombe as the captains of two panels of three. Each episode is based around one particular name and the teams must argue that they have found the greatest owner of the name.

“The pilot brilliantly combined humor and history to somehow move from [Saint] George to George Clooney via George Michael and George Bernhard Shaw,” said BBC entertainment commissioning’s acting controller Alan Tyler in a statement.

“I still don’t know how it did that but I do know that I’m looking forward to seeing grown-up, intelligent, funny people hurling names at each other,” he added.

Margaret Anne Doherty is the series producer and the executive producer is Paul McGettigan. Insert Name Here was commissioned by BBC2 and BBC4 controller Kim Shillinglaw and Alan Tyler.
