Travel Channel exec joins BSTV Entertainment

The New Jersey-based lifestyle development and production company has tapped former Travel Channel exec Anna Garwood (pictured) as VP of development.

New Jersey-based BSTV Entertainment has tapped former Travel Channel exec Anna Garwood (pictured) as VP of development.

In the new post, Garwood is responsible for overseeing the company’s expanding development division. She joined the company in November.

Garwood previously served as director of programming and talent relations at the Scripps Networks Interactive-owned Travel Channel, charged with seeking emerging on-air talent while developing programming concepts for traditional and digital broadcast.

In addition, Garwood also founded and oversaw the channel’s talent relations department. Her credits include The Trip, Armed & Ready, Ghost Adventures, Man v. Food and Mysteries at the Museum.

Prior to boarding Travel Channel in 2010, Garwood held titles in acquisitions and development at various networks including Science Channel, Military Channel and Discovery Home Channel.

BSTV Entertainment was launched by Beth Burke and Blake Swerdloff as a lifestyle development and production company in 2012.
