Argonon-owned prodco Leopard USA has hired Simon McKeown as its chief creative officer, effective January 18.
McKeown, most recently SVP of development for Love and Hip Hop prodco Eastern, will be Leopard USA’s first CCO, tasked with leading the company’s creative expansion and developing its slate of formatted series and obs-docs for the U.S. market.
Prior to Eastern, where his credits included such programs as K Michelle: My Life and Love and Hip Hop: The Afterparty Live (both for VH1), McKeown worked with Nutopia as head of development, where credits included developing Britain’s Biggest Adventures with Bear Grylls for ITV and The Jesus Code for CNN.
Before Nutopia, McKeown also ran the development department for Great British Bake Off prodco Love Productions.
“Simon is a brilliant ideas man and a shrewd, insightful executive,” said Leopard CEO James Burstall in a statement. “He has a sharp eye for creative opportunities and is an inspiring new leader for Leopard USA.”
In November of last year, Leopard USA brought on former Pulse Films exec Richard Cook as its VP of talent.
