New York-based distributor BOND/360 has hired Elizabeth Sheldon (pictured, right) as COO.
Sheldon, who most recently served as senior VP for indie film distributor Kino Lorber, will focus on growing the company’s film acquisitions and marketing businesses.
While at Kino Lorber, she headed up acquisitions and business development. Last year, the company expanded beyond North America by launching documentary slates for international buyers at the MIPDoc and MIPTV markets in Cannes.
“My acquisition and distribution strategy has always been based on a collaborative approach with filmmakers to develop and execute individually tailored releases,” Sheldon said in a statement. “This mindset fits perfectly within the innovative model that has been established at BOND/360.”
“She has a deep knowledge of the global independent film landscape and an unrelenting passion to champion stories that need to be told,” added company president Sara Schiller (pictured, left).
BOND/360 is also in the midst of growing its production and publishing arms. In the year ahead, the company plans to premiere 10 to 15 feature films in theaters, on VOD, on home video and via the educational market.
