Promotions, hires at Collins Avenue

Michael Hammond, formerly SVP of production, has been upped to chief operating officer, as the prodco behind Lifetime's Dance Moms (pictured) announces three other promotions and two new hires.

Los Angeles-based Collins Avenue, the prodco behind Lifetime hit Dance Moms among others, has announced a raft of promotions and new hires.

Michael Hammond, most recently senior vice president of production, has been promoted to chief operating officer. Also, Lindsay Schwartz has been upped from VP to senior Vice President of development and business affairs.

Sandi Johnson has been upped from VP to SVP of current programming; and Kamico Drakes, former director of development, has been promoted to VP.

New hires include Drew Ruesch, former development manager at Giant Pirates, who has joined Collins Avenue as director of development; and Ben Ziertan, former development producer at Discovery Studios, who now serves in the same capacity at Collins Avenue.

In other news, Lifetime has ordered 28 episodes and four specials for the sixth season of Dance Moms. The prodco is also prepping Sisters in Law for WE tv, with producing partner Kim Coles.

The company has also recently partnered with author, producer, preacher and motivational speaker, DeVon Franklin, on an upcoming relationship project.
