7 Wonder bolsters production, development teams

The Seven Network-backed UK indie has hired production and development executives Jeremy Lee (pictured), Patrick McMahon and Mandy Bishop.

UK indie 7 Wonder has hired three executives to lead development and production.

Jeremy Lee, who previously worked at NERD TV and Fresh One, has joined the company as executive producer. He has already started in the position and has begun working on the 90-minute program How Rom Coms Ruled Our World (working title) for Channel 4.

His past credits include The 80s: 10 Years that Changed Britain, The 90s: 10 Years that Changed the World and How Hip Hop Changed the World.

The company has hired former Boomerang exec Patrick McMahon as head of development. He will focus on popular factual content. He led development for the Twofour-owned company, overseeing such factual programs as Pawnbrokers and Bargain Fever Britain. He has also worked for RDF, Zig Zag and Maverick Television.

Finally, Mandy Bishop has joined as head of production in the Birmingham office. She will oversee regional production alongside executive producer Sarah Trigg and develop a longer-term growth strategy with 7 Wonder founders Liza Abbott and Alex Fraser.

She previously worked for Endemol, Catalyst TV, Maverick Television and the BBC. Her credits include Embarrassing BodiesLive from the Clinic and How to Look Good Naked.

7 Wonder was founded in 2014 with backing by Australia’s Seven Network. It has produced programs for ITV, Channel 4, Sky 1 and the BBC.
