U.S. cable net Spike TV has ordered the car-singing game show Caraoke Showdown from Alevy Productions.

The 30-minute special trails The Office star Craig Robinson (pictured) and various surprise celebrity guests as they pick up unsuspecting contestants for the game show. Throughout the drive, contestants must sing their favourite songs, finish the lyrics or act out songs for cash.

Robinson serves as executive producer with Howie Mandel and Mike Marks, alongside Core Media.

The comedian’s credits include NBC’s Mr. Robinson and HBO’s Eastbound and Down, as well as feature films Pineapple Express, Hot Tub Machine, This Is The End, and most recently Morris From America, for which he received the Sundance Actor Award.

The special is slated to premiere later this year on Spike TV.
