Shine TV ups two for factual, features departments

Exec producers behind such series as Council House Crackdown and The Island with Bear Grylls (pictured) have been promoted to senior positions in the popular factual and features departments at Endemol Shine-owned Shine TV.

Lorna-Dawn Creanor, an EP behind BBC1′s Crackdown and Sky 1′s The Force, as well as the upcoming Made Over By, set for Channel 4 in the spring, has been upped to head of features at Shine TV, a newly created post.

Meanwhile, Ben Mitchell, who co-developed and exec produced Channel 4′s The Island with Bear Grylls and has also produced and directed such formats as Undercover Boss¬†and The Hotel, also for C4, has been named head of popular factual.

Both will report to managing director Tanya Shaw, and will work closely with creative director Tim Whitwell.

“Lorna-Dawn and Ben are both hugely talented creative producers that have played crucial roles in our most popular hit shows,” said Shaw in a statement. “Their experience in producing and developing compelling formats ensures Shine TV can continue with the ambition to be at the forefront of bold features and popular factual programming.”
