UK indie Ten Alps will rebrand as Zinc Media following a year-long restructure.

The company’s current stable of prodcos - which includes Blakeway, Brook Lapping, Films of Record and Reef Television – will retain the TV brands under the name change.

All other aspects of the business, including the communications and publishing operations, will function as Zinc Media when the changes take effect Tuesday (March 1).

Ten Alps underwent restructuring last July when Bob Geldof – who co-founded the company in 1999 – resigned as a director and stepped down from the board. In the same time period, the company acquired Britain’s Hidden Heritage producer Reef TV.

The indie’s production credits include Channel 4′s The Murder Detectives and Penelope Keith’s Hidden Villages, BBC Panorama’s The Secret Letters of Pope John Paul II, BBC1′s Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, and Food Network’s Paul Hollywood’s City Bakes.

“The name change is an important milestone in the reorganization and transformation of Ten Alps and is an opportunity to redefine the identity and ambition of the company,” chief executive Mark Wood said in a statement. “This is now an exciting and dynamic media organization which is focused on growing as a global TV producer, communications and branded content business and a cross-platform publisher.”
