Endemol Shine North America and All3Media America and their family of companies are among 30 independent production outfits that have joined the membership ranks of Pact U.S.
Other new Pact U.S. members are Broderville Pictures, Cineflix, Hot Snakes Media, October Films, ProMedia, Propagate Content, Phiphen Pictures, Punched in the Head, Talos Films and 2CMedia.
Production music library Audio Network is also joining as the group’s first associate member.
All3Media America’s subsidiaries include Studio Lambert, Maverick, Lion Television USA and Optomen USA among others. All3Media, Lion and Optomen are also listed members of the U.S. based trade organization the Non-Fiction Producers Association, as are Endemol Shine companies Authentic Entertainment, True Entertainment and Original Media.
Pact U.S. is also sponsoring the USA Pavilion during the Hong Kong International Film & TV Market, which takes place from March 14 to 17. The group will host a membership delegation to meet with buyers, format sellers, investors and potential coproducers from across Asia and reimburse a portion of participating members’ travel expenses.
The U.S. outpost of the British trade body was established in January 2015 during the Realscreen Summit, with the aim of representing the commercial interests of American producers. Former National Geographic Channels CEO David Lyle (pictured) joined as president in May.
“With these outstanding independent production companies forming the nucleus of our organization, and other significant U.S. players poised to join with us in the weeks and months ahead, our attention now turns to giving them all of the support they need to succeed,” Lyle said in a statement.
“Our company has enjoyed a long, successful relationship with Pact in Europe and we’re now looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together here in the U.S.,” added Endemol Shine North America COO Ben Samek.
