FremantleMedia Norway appoints development head

FremantleMedia Norway has named Hege Skjerven Johansen (pictured) as head of development. Reporting to MD Petter Testmann-Koch, Skjerven Johansen will help to develop existing projects, explore local development projects and select FremantleMedia titles for local adaptation. Before joining the producer, the exec worked at the Shine Group-owned Rubicon for 15 years in such roles as editor, multi-camera director, developer and producer. Her producing credits include Extreme Home MakeoverNorges Herligste with Ylvis, Luxury Trap and The Magic Body. FremantleMedia Norway was formed in 2014, and has produced such series as Farmer Wants a WifeNorway’s Got Talent and Idol Norway.

MTG’s Viasat Nature orders “Animal Antics”

Scandinavian media company MTG World has commissioned fact-ent series Animal Antics from London-based Woodcut Media for its Viasat Nature channel. The 13 x 30-minute animal compilation series will feature comedic and unpredictable adventures through various episodic themes, such as the laziest or craziest animals. Comedians, wildlife experts and animal vloggers will count down their 20 favorite clips. The series is distributed worldwide by Factory Media and will be presented to buyers at next month’s MIPTV market in Cannes. Filming on the series is slated to begin this month, with a scheduled release date set for April. Woodcut’s Jinal Patel serves as executive producer, with Nick Mavroidakis series producing.
