Discovery Communications-owned channel Investigation Discovery has set a late April air date for Cream Productions’ college-focused true crime series Murder U (pictured).

The six-part series is to feature firsthand accounts from the key players involved in American criminal and murder cases that have struck college campuses across the country. In addition to first-person testimonials, the series will offer in-depth interviews with faculty, family and friends of the victim.

Each episode of the series will tell the story of fatal crimes committed by unsuspecting culprits, from a tale of young romance gone wrong at the University of Florida to troubles on a college debate team at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and fallout between fraternity brothers at the University of Maryland.

Cream’s Kate Harrison and David Brady serve as executive producers on the series, alongside ID’s Tim Baney.

Murder U is scheduled to premiere in the U.S. on April 20 at 9 p.m. EST/PST on Investigation Discovery, and in Canada on Blue Ant Media’s Travel+Escape on April 19 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

In addition to Murder U, Cream also produces Investigation Discovery’s true crime series Fear Thy Neighbor, which explores deadly disputes between neighbors and is currently in its third season.
