In this week’s round-up, new unscripted series and documentaries are slated to premiere across Discovery Channel, E!, W Network and TLC.

U.S. cable network Discovery Channel will present ‘Elevation Weekend,’ which will follow individuals on their journeys to conquer the elements in striking destinations.

Anchoring the stunt is Jennifer Peedom’s award-winning climbing documentary Sherpa (pictured). The film – which originally began as a documentary about the forthcoming climbing season offers unprecedented access into the Sherpa community, their families, western adventurers preparing to climb Mount Everest and Sherpa Phurba Tashi’s world record-breaking attempt to summit the mountain for the 22nd time.

During this process, however, Peedom’s team captured the deadly avalanche that struck the Khumbu Icefall, the area above the Mount Everest base camp, on April 18, 2014. Sherpa makes its television debut across Discovery Channel on April 23 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

Elsewhere, Discovery Communications-owned channel TLC is set to follow the lives of five single fathers looking not only for love in their lives, but also a woman willing to love their children.

Produced by Bray Entertainment, Single Dad Seeking will introduce five single fathers to five unattached women looking for a relationship with a “responsible, caring man.” Having never met in person, each couple will dive into living together in a trial run while attempting to deal with teen angst, babysitting and awkward encounters. The series is scheduled to premiere on May 8 at 10 p.m. EST/PST across TLC.

Corus Entertainment-owned W Network, meanwhile, will add to its Love It or List It franchise when its vacation home spin-off hits the air in May.

Produced by Big Coat Productions, in association with W Network, Love It or List It Vacation Homes features designer Dan Vickery and realtor Elisa Goldhawke competing to convince homeowners to either keep their Vickery-redesigned vacation home or relocate to a new getaway retreat scouted by Goldhawke. The series, which premieres on May 9 at 10 p.m. EST/PST across W Network, will showcase holiday properties with unique architectural designs in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and British Columbia.

Finally, NBCUniversal-owned cable net E! Entertainment will look to mingle with Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors in its forthcoming relationship series Famously Single.

The program will feature eight celebrities going through “relationship rehab” as they explore their romantic issues together while living under one roof in downtown LA. The group of celebrities will be led through a variety of unique exercises and challenges by relationship expert Dr. Darcy Sterling in an attempt to untangle their most private and emotional experiences. The series is produced by Irwin Entertainment and scheduled to premiere on June 14 at 10 p.m. EST/PST on E!.
