Los Angeles-based producer The Company has hired Sony Pictures Television (SPT) exec Annie Gerhart as VP of unscripted programming.

As director of program development for SPT, she worked with international teams to package formats for the U.S. market and oversaw the ABC series Shark Tank.

Prior to that, she worked in development for Oxygen Media and spent four years at Ryan Seacrest Productions where she oversaw development, production and post on unscripted series such as Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Shahs of Sunset.

Earlier this month, the Charlie Ebersol- and Mike Lanigan-founded shop signed a first-look deal with its former unscripted development senior VP, Jason Henry.

The Company’s slate includes the CNBC series The Profit and West Texas Investors Club, which returns for a second season on June 7.
