Scripps Networks Interactive-owned Travel Channel has ordered the celebrity motoring series Drive of My Life (working title) for the UK and EMEA regions.

The Shiver-produced 10 x 30-minute series will follow British comedian and television presenter Paddy McGuinness (pictured) as he journeys with celebrities to personal locations and areas across the UK countryside. Along the way, the host will reunite the stars with three cars they’ve previously owned.

The program is part of a “refreshed” UK and EMEA commissioning strategy for Scripps Networks, which will continue to roll out a number of regional commissions.

The series, slated to premiere this fall across Travel Channel, was commissioned by Kevin Dickie, senior VP of channels, and Gareth Williams, VP of commissioning for Scripps Networks UK and EMEA.

Drive of My Life is a great example of our new re-imagined original programming, that takes our viewers on an unexpected journey,” said Dickie in a statement. “Paddy has the perfect blend of comic, engaging storytelling and great sense of adventure.”
