The changes are part of an additional investment in Western Europe, BBCWW – the commercial arm of the UK pubcaster – said in a statement.
Nick Percy, VP and GM for Central and Eastern Europe, has become executive VP of the newly created Northern Europe unit. He will be based in the company’s London headquarters.
He will oversee BBC Worldwide’s business activities in the region, which consists of the Nordics and Benelux, and assume responsibility for the Northern European channels portfolio, the new production base BBC Worldwide Productions Nordics, and regional TV and format sales.
De Graaff previously oversaw those territories, and will now manage relationships with key global customers in Western Europe.
“With the increasing importance of big customers to the key sales region of Western Europe, Tobi will now take on additional responsibility for managing these crucial relationships,” said the company’s president of global markets, Paul Dempsey, in a statement.
“The focus in Northern Europe is different and Nick’s experience across multiple lines of business, and most recently running our sales operation in Central and Eastern Europe, will bring additional focus to the region and help us grow our already excellent relationship with consumers and clients,” he continued.
