Scripps names VP of programming for home brands

Betsy Sanner Ayala has boarded Scripps Networks Interactive as VP of programming for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country.

In her new role, the exec will manage the development and production of series and specials for the trifecta of nets. She will be based in Knoxville, Tennessee, reporting to John Feld, senior VP of original programming and production.

Ayala most recently served as VP of programming and production at PTA Networks, a digital streaming travel net serving such platforms as Roku, Comcast Xfinity and Amazon Fire.

She also served as executive producer and head of new development for Ice Cold Gold and Arranged producer Moxie Pictures.

Her previous television experience includes developing and producing programming for luxury lifestyle network Plum TV, NFL Network, CBS Sports Network, NBC Sports and ESPN.
