Thierry Demaizière and Alban Teurlai‘s film centers on ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied, who choreographed Darren Aronofsky’s Oscar-nominated 2010 drama Black Swan.

The dancer was named director of the Paris Opera Ballet in 2014, and premiered his first production in September 2015. The doc chronicles the preparations behind the ballet, from the first rehearsals to opening night.

Reset was picked up by FilmRise ahead of its North American premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival last week, and will have a theatrical release this fall.

The deal for the film was negotiated between FilmRise CEO Danny Fisher and VP of acquisitions Max Einhorn with Severine Garusso of Upside Distribution.

FilmRise has this year acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Will Allen’s religious cult doc Holy Hell as well as the worldwide distribution rights to Keith Fulton and Lou Pepe’s observational documentary The Bad Kids.
