Jodi Scheer boards HGTV, DIY Network

Scripps Networks Interactive has tapped Jodi Scheer (pictured) as director of programming for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country.

The exec, who previously served as director of programming for Food Network and Cooking Channel, will manage the development and production of series and specials for the group of nets.

Scheer will be based in Knoxville, Tennessee, reporting to John Feld, senior VP of original programming and production for the trio of nets. She was previously situated in New York.

The exec first joined Scripps in December 2012. Her credits at the company include Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, Cutthroat Kitchen and Dinner at Tiffani’s.

Prior to joining Scripps, Scheer was a manager of production and development at Spike TV, where she supervised live and taped programming for Ultimate Fighting Championship and Impact Wrestling.
