Mariam Zamaray (pictured), CEO of TERN (Television Entertainment Reality Network) International, has departed the Netherlands-based 4K broadcaster.

A TERN spokesperson told¬†realscreen that the company and Zamaray – who helped to launch Ultra HD/4K factual entertainment channel Insight at last year’s MIPCOM – are ending their working relationship “by mutual agreement.”

Zamaray was involved with the company from the beginning, just over two years ago, but took the helm as CEO about 18 months back.

Rian Bester, COO of TERN, will serve as interim CEO as the firm continues to develop and extend its global market reach.

“Mariam established TERN and its unique position with one of the first UHD channels available in the world today with her unparalleled creativity, passion and drive,” said the board of TERN International in a statement. “We thank her for all her hard work and wish her all the best with her future activities.”

Zamaray added: “It was an exceptional challenge. I was given a lot of support and opportunities within this company, but now that TERN is active and expanding, it’s time for me to look for new challenges.”
