Beverly Hills-based agency APA has brought on Derek Blum (pictured) as an agent in its alternative and factual programming department.
Before APA, the Chicago native worked at Paradigm in its unscripted department as an agent, and also at UTA as an assistant in unscripted.
At APA, his primary focus will be staffing the department’s producer, director, and on-screen talent clients.
“Over the last four years, I’ve carefully watched Derek’s growth from assistant at UTA to agent at Paradigm, and am extremely impressed with the business he built for himself,” said APA partner and alternative and factual programming head Hayden Meyer in a statement. “My colleagues and I couldn’t be more pleased to have him join our team, and anticipate great contributions from him in the future.”
