Day two of this year’s Realscreen West began with an entertaining and candid keynote by American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance  exec producer Nigel Lythgoe, who shared stories from the shiny-floor trenches with Pact US president David Lyle. Panels delved into the ins and outs of development, the surge in kid-friendly reality competitions and talent shows and the stories behind breakout hits such as 60 Days In and Chrisley Knows Best. The day wrapped with the 2016 Realscreen Awards, which featured a Hall of Fame tribute to ITV America CEO Brent Montgomery.
