Los Angeles-headquartered health and entertainment net Z Living has enhanced its summer slate with six original series, including Change the Day You Die and The Healthy Gourmet.

Produced by Popsugar Studios, Class FitSugar will follow host Anna Renderer as she fuses inspirational and on-trend workouts to “help with the journey to healthy living, weight loss and stress relief.”

The series, which premieres July 5 at 5 p.m. EST/PST, marks the first fruits of the two media firms’ recently secured partnership to develop Popsugar-branded content exclusively for Z Living’s linear and digital portals.

The Zig Zag Productions-made Change the Day You Die will – through a series of medical and lifestyle tests – see Dr. Adam Carey and life coach Patricia Mitchell predicting the death-date of participating individuals before providing them with the opportunity to live a healthier life. The series debuts July 5 at 9 p.m. EST/PST across Z Living.

Meanwhile, the Cineflix Rights-distributed culinary competition series Family Food Challenge will pit two families – as chosen by two celebrity chefs – against one another to teach them how to prepare inexpensive and nutritious meals. Plated dishes are judged by 40 diners with the winners receive a year’s supply of groceries. The program is slated to broadcast July 11 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

Kim’s Rude Awakenings, also from Cineflix Rights, is set to document English television presenter and expert cleaner Kim Woodburn as she attempts to bring order to the lives of individuals with messy and unruly homes. The show is scheduled to air on July 12 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.

Premiering in August is the culinary series The Healthy Gourmet, in which nutritionist Julie Daniluk and acclaimed chef Ezra Title battle it out with a series of contestants to determine whether taste or nutrition will win out. The series, which is produced by The Fremantle Corporation, debuts August 8 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.

Finally, the Bellum Entertainment-made Now Eat This with Rocco DiSpirito will shadow the award-winning chef as he educates America on how to prepare indulgent dishes without utilizing “bad carbs,” “bad fats” or processed sugars. The program airs August 22 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

“Our summer lineup offers fun and engaging content that will make viewers laugh, sweat and feel inspired,” said Tim Krubsack, Z Living’s executive VP and head of programming, in a statement. “Aligning with Popsugar, and other prolific producers with an innovative take on food, fitness and lifestyle will continue to propel Z Living’s health entertainment brand.”

Z Living is a sister company to Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., which recently expanded in the U.S. through partnerships with American broadcasters Sling TV and Dish.
