Scripps Networks Interactive-owned net Travel Channel has ordered two jet-setting specials set to feature Guy’s Big Bite personality Guy Fieri.

Guy & Hunter’s European Vacation will follow the Food Network star and his eldest son Hunter as they enjoy a month-long journey across Europe to explore a new world of culture and cuisine.

The father-and-son duo will meet people involved in traditional food preparation techniques, from authentic gyro preparation in Greece and gelato-making in Italy to preparing fish ‘n’ chips in England and making croissants in France.

Elsewhere, Guy Fieri’s Cuban Adventure (pictured) will follow the chef as he takes his Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives series on the road, embarking on an island adventure.

The special will provide a behind-the-scenes look as Fieri – accompanied by his wife Lori, his parents Jim and Penny and his production crew – explores the blossoming restaurant scene in Havana, Cuba. It will also follow the restaurateur as he pays homage to Cuba’s most famous chef by cooking his trademark coffee lobster and a regional pork plate, eating Russian ravioli and chicken Kiev at a Soviet-era spot, as well as indulging in such Cuban specialties as drunk chicken and pork with plantains.

Both specials will be produced by Denver-based production house Citizen Pictures, with Frank Matson and Tim McOsker exec producing.

Travel Channel will premiere Guy & Hunter’s European Vacation on July 5 at 11 p.m. EST/PST, while Guy Fieri’s Cuban Adventure is slated to air on August 2 at 11 p.m. EST/PST.
