Hispanic-focused U.S. media company Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) has signed a strategic content development deal with Keeping Up With the Kardashians producer Bunim/Murray Productions.

Under the agreement, the Banijay Group-owned prodco will develop and produce digital content for SBS’s online and mobile content platform, LaMusica.

New programming will span music, lifestyle and informational short-form video content, and will become available to the general public later this summer.

SBS has so far focused on music, and the group owns 17 radio stations, mainly targeting Latin markets. The LaMusica app currently simulcasts all of these radio stations, offering curated playlists and personalization options.

But now, with a focus on “optimizing for the mobile experience,” according to a company press release, SBS is aiming to bring more video content to its audience, particularly among young people.
