Ohm:TV takes Von Richthofen’s “35 Cows” worldwide

Cologne-based distributor Ohm:TV has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to the feature length documentary 35 Cows and a Kalashnikov (pictured) from the late Oswald von Richthofen.

The 83-minute film pays tribute to the sub-Saharan continent of Africa by focusing on warrior-farmers that make up the Surma tribe of Southern Ethiopia, the colorful dandy movement of Congo-Brazzaville and the voodoo wrestlers of Congo-Kinshasa.

The film, which made its world premiere at Munich’s DOK.fest International Documentary Film Festival in 2014, is produced by Roland Emmerich with Gernot Aschoff listed as co-director.
